Data Services

We strongly believe in a data-driven approach to improving public health. Data collection and management has been a pillar of our work since we started in 2017, and is a part of every project we work on. Our team has the tools and expertise to collect and analyze primary and secondary data from a wide range of sources, including census data, cancer and immunization registries, surveys, performance metric data submissions, key informant interviews, community meetings, and focus groups. We prioritize making these data accessible and actionable to our partners through meaningful analyses and visualizations.

Using Electronic Health Record Data to Improve Clinical Processes

Analyzing Chronic Health and Population Data to Identify Priority Populations

In partnership with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, we help health systems use Electronic Health Record data to drive clinical quality improvement. By validating reports, supporting evidence-based interventions, and monitoring outcomes, we provide actionable insights that improve cardiovascular disease management and cancer screening outcomes.

Data Management and Maintenance

Supporting Data-Driven Screening and Prevention Services using OSCAR

In collaboration with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, we analyzed Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) and population data to prioritize counties in Idaho based on their risk for adverse chronic health outcomes. The results from this analysis provided a data-driven framework for targeting interventions to combat chronic disease in Idaho.

At One Health Insights, data security is a top priority, and we implement rigorous protocols to safeguard sensitive health information. From HIPAA-compliant storage to careful de-identification and controlled access, we ensure data are managed responsibly.

We partner with the Las Animas-Huerfano Counties District Health Department to support community health screenings using Outreach, Screening and Referral System (OSCAR) software. This partnership includes training staff, strengthening operational capacity, managing OSCAR data, and developing data dashboards that enable real-time monitoring, evaluation, and quality improvement.
